There are spring break cruise offerings taking place on the Belle of Louisville and the Mary M. Miller during the first week of April. The Paddlewheel is made up of 608 paddlewood pieces and weighs an astonishing 17.5 tons. Even more, the paddlewheel is the Belle’s only means of propulsion. The beautiful Great Lawn was opened to the public in 1998. Many years ago, its location was a natural river crossing for buffalo. Perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, graduation parties, reunions, corporate events and more.
One River - Two Boats
Once the ship embarked, we almost immediately passed under a bridge. There are many bridges that cross the river and it was fun to go under them and to wave at the people above us. All letters are reviewed and, if approved, you will be sent a sightseeing pass for two, good on the Belle of Louisville or the Mary M. Miller. Not valid on special events, cannot upgrade to a meal.
Casual, but retro outfits are encouraged! We do recommend checking the weather before your cruise and dressing accordingly. Flat shoes are encouraged due to uneven walking surfaces and stairs on the wharf and boat. No matter what you’re boarding for—sightseeing, a four-course dinner, live music excursion or unique event—it’s always a very special occasion.
We had a great time on the boat enjoying the upper deck and the river views. The tour trip up river and back was just the right length of time. I would go on this again when I visit Louisville again.

Once we were finished with our meal, we decided to explore the ship. The first floor dinning area had music and a dance floor, and on the top floor you could see into the captains room and watch him steer the ship. The food was delicious and included a wide variety of options to choose from. A few minutes after our departure, we were invited to go to through the lunch buffet. The set up was extremely organized and we were able to easily get food for our family.
